Yeah, I've been horrible about posting, I fail at life, journal updating takes too much time, never anything witty to say etc etc pick and choose with excuses here.

Not much going on lately, except I might get an internship job at the OSBA (ohio state bar association) which would be useful for a prelaw major and I'm not but really I just want an OFFICE JOB please and thanks so this'll do. Also may be volunteering at a local hospital, which happens to be attached to the nursing school I'll be attending, and will be nice to put on the good ol' resume. V. exciting.

But you don't want to hear about that. You want to hear about how I've been watching Star Trek like a big ol' geek for the past few days. LUCKILY my brother and his girlfriend got a jump start on me with the obsession and I can just borrow dvds from them - currently in the midst of working my way through Star Trek: The Original Series (season one) and the better movies. Already seen The Wrath of Khan and wow this shit is so campy and lulzy I can't NOT find each and every scene utterly hilarious. THE NAKED TIME? PRICELESS. Will never look at Sulu the same again.

I know practically no one on my flist understands any of this and it's fine. In fact, no one should bitch me out when I say I really do prefer some of the actors from the 2009 movie to the original cast, though Kirk and Spock and McCoy are awesome in every form but nu!Chekov and nu!Sulu are vastly superior to their counterparts I'm sorry. You can't beat the adorable that is Anton Yelchin. LOOK AT THIS GQ MOTHERFUCKER. I will never tire of this meme never. And Sulu? Well. Sulu... yeah, is ridiculous in TOS in a hilarious kind of way but I can actually take him seriously in the movie somehow. Somehow.

--RIGHT ONE MORE THING. KID!SPOCK IN THE MOVIE IS THE CUTEST FUCKING THING IN THE UNIVERSE and makes my shotacat senses tingle like no real little child ever could. I don't know how I feel about this. /shame

And this is the longest thing I've posted in weeks. Months. Enjoy my nonsensical and pedophilic babbling.

OH MY GOD WHAT'S WRONG WITH YOUR HANDS. lmfao best ever. I usually FF through the Uhura/Spock scenes because they seemed so forced like the writers felt obligated to include romance in the movie and went with a random pairing.

Uhura had the potential to be a badass character in the beginning except all they did with her was make her swoon over Spock which disappointed me.

YES, YES I HAVE!!! I've been on an insane ST kick and can only watch my pirated copy of the new movie so many times.

It's crazy funny and cheesy and horrible in a good way. SO FAR I'VE ONLY SEEN... FOUR EPISODES, but my god the campiness. Thus far every girl seems to want in Spock's pants though I'd really like to bitchslap Uhura.

THEY HAD SOME INTERESTING CONCEPTS THOUGH. Like there was this one episode about the Greek gods just being aliens with advanced technology or some junk like that and omigosh is it disturbing to be able to talk about Star Trek in public without getting shunned. =( EVERYONE WANTS IN SPOCK'S PANTS. They start giving up after awhile and chasing after Kirk instead, though. .... Hahaha, I liked Uhura!

HEY I ACTUALLY SAW THAT EPISODE AGES AGO IN MYTHOLOGY CLASS. Do you remember which season it's in? I remember it being amazing. Star Trek is cool now, Ava. You can talk about it as much as you please and get a high-five or three. Guys, especially, are impressed with ST knowledge I have discovered. LOL KIRK GETTING SECONDS. Maybe Uhura gets better but so far... meh. I prefer Nurse Chapel and that hot Yeoman whose name escapes me.

No, I don't remember the season. But that was about my favorite episode next to the one about the people that aged way too fast. =( Guys are impressed by Star Trek knowledge? But next thing you know disco will be cool again and then I just don't know what I'd do with myself and my fondness for dorky things! KIRK IS UNFORTUNATE LIKE THAT. I don't even remember Uhura... doing much besides kissing Kirk one time thanks to an aphrodisiac or something on board. Hot Yeoman? I don't remember him.
